Al Jazeera’s Investigative Unit | Assistant ProduceR

I was an assistant producer with Al Jazeera’s Investigative Unit, working with the producers of the Labour Files documentary series, broadcast on Al Jazeera and released online. I also worked on the accompanying Al Jazeera Investigates podcast series.

Building Big | producer, director, presenter

Building Big is a video short investigating body dysmorphia and depression amongst male body builders. Tracking daily muscle regimes can cause poor mental health, Building Big is a sensitive look at an underreported subject which provides a new lens to body image issues.

Video for social media

I have worked across social media platforms, producing engaging and shareable video, audio and interactive content. This includes native video, live streams and stories of news events, multimedia for tweet threads and digital video packages.

For First Draft, I produced multimedia packages around information disorder, including the organisation’s end of year series, which included written pieces, graphics, social posts, audio and video. I also led the production of multimedia training materials for First Draft, including its flagship interactive simulations as part of information crisis training for global news organisations including the BBC.

As part of Konbini's quick-fire question video series Fast & Curious, I collaborated on producing videos and interviewing the likes of 90s girl group TLC, Irish hip-hop artist Rejjie Snow, actor Benedict Cumberbatch, and the stars of BBC Three series 'People Just Do Nothing', Kurupt FM.

For other video formats for Konbini, I also produced vox pop-style videos interviewing the public about political issues.

Tory Boy vs Labour Gal was the first in a political debate video series I produced and directed for Konbini UK’s Facebook channel. Designed in a “gameshow” format and aimed at a young audience ahead of the 2017 UK General Election, the series aimed to inform and empower viewers while encouraging them to vote.
